Irish jockey Kieren Fallon has until close of business today to lodge an appeal against a six-month ban for failing a drugs test.
The sanction has been imposed by the French racing authorities following the 41-year-old positive test for a banned substance five months ago.
The suspension, which is likely to be applied worldwide, is set to begin next Thursday.
Fallon is already suspended from riding in Britain pending his trial for conspiracy to defraud customers of the Betfair betting exchange.
He has said he will quit racing if unable to clear his name of the race-fixing allegations.
