The GAA's Central Appeals Committee has rejected the appeals of five Meath players suspended following the recent NFL Division 2 league clash with Dublin at Parnell Park.
Brendan Murphy, Seamus Kenny, Niall McKeigue, Shane McAnarney and Nigel Crawford will have to serve their eight-week bans, but may mount a further appeal to the Disputes Resolution Authority.
They were handed the punishments following the violence that broke out during the hotly contested Dublin game.
