A Co Cork parents Association is claiming political bias has prevented their local primary school from receiving a refurbishment promised six years ago.

Parents at Burnfort Primary school are planning a walkout with their children tomorrow over conditions, which they say are cramped and impossible to operate in.

Liam Madden from the Burnfort Parent’s Association says, "we feel very bitter because we see schools that were way behind us, which have passed us out.

"That is very annoying as well, we feel that this is largely politically motivated, it would be in areas where there are marginal seats and we are annoyed by that."
