A fire which ripped through a number of houses and apartments under construction in north Dublin could have been started deliberately.
The blaze broke out at around 10.30pm yesterday in Parkview Road, Jamestown Road, near Ballymun, and a number of units from Dublin Fire Brigade rushed to the scene.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
A garda spokesman said a forensic team were conducting an investigation of the site and they were looking at all possible causes, including arson.
“The fire has caused substantial damage to houses and apartments which are currently under construction,” he said.
“The scene of the fire is preserved pending a Garda forensic examination.
“There were no injuries as a result of the fire.”
