Man due in court over Dublin death

A man is due to appear at Kilmainham District Court today in connection with the death of a man in Dublin.

A man is due to appear at Kilmainham District Court today in connection with the death of a man in Dublin.

The 25-year-old was arrested after the death of Martin Reilly, 56, near the Simon Community Centre in Island Street on Monday night.

Mr Reilly was originally from Carrick-on-Shannon in Co Leitrim.

Gardai said the 25-year-old man will be charged with assault under Section Three of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act.

A 40-year-old woman who was also arrested in connection with the death was released.
