Labour's Frank McBrearty has been eliminated on the second count in Donegal South West by-election.

Labour's Frank McBrearty has been eliminated on the second count in Donegal South West by-election.

The results of the second count are:

Pearse Doherty (+17) 13,736,

Frank McBrearty (+9) 3,375,

Brian Ó'Domhall (+4) 7,358,

Barry O'Neill (+18) 6,442,

Thomas Pringle (+53) 3,491.

Mr McBrearty said although today is not his day, he is confident he will take a seat in Donegal South West in the future.
