Man dies in Wicklow house fire

A man in his 40s died in a house fire today.

A man in his 40s died in a house fire today.

The blaze broke at the home at Pearse Square, Bray, Co. Wicklow at around 9.35am.

Gardaí said firefighters, who answered the emergency call, found the dead man.

A post mortem examination was being carried out on the body at Loughlinstown Hospital and the scene is being preserved pending technical examination.

Gardaí said they were examining the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Firefighters Brian Murray, 46, and Mark O’Shaughnessy, 26, were killed last September as they fought a blaze in a derelict building in Bray.
