The next three FA Cup finals and three FA Charity Shield matches will be staged at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
The Welsh national stadium will also stage the Football League's five annual showpiece finals while Wembley is being rebuilt.
With a capacity of 72,000, the stadium is bigger than any football ground in England.
It will be the first time the FA Cup final will be staged away from Wembley since the meeting between Huddersfield and Preston at Stamford Bridge in 1922.
FA chief executive Adam Crozier said: "The negotiations that preceded this announcement have been lengthy and complex.
"We're grateful to the stadium authorities, local council and the police for their help in reaching a successful conclusion.
"As we saw during the Rugby World Cup in 1999, the Millennium Stadium generates a unique atmosphere - the kind of atmosphere we believe is ideal for the FA Cup final and Charity Shield."
The Worthington Cup final will be the first showpiece to be played in Cardiff on February 25.
The Nationwide League play-off finals and the LDV Vans Trophy final will also be played there.
Football League chief executive David Burns said: "I am delighted that we will be taking our five finals to the stadium that was always our first choice.
"The Millennium Stadium is a simply breathtaking venue that is unrivalled anywhere in the British Isles."
