Full-back Justin McMahon, centre-back Conor Gormley and full-forward Martin Penrose are back for Tyrone's Allianz NFL Division 1 trip to Inniskeen to take on Monaghan on Sunday (throw-in 2.30pm).

The trio have been throw straight back into the Red Hands' starting line-up, after completing the four-week suspensions handed down to them from the opening league defeat to Derry.

Mickey Harte's men, who are bottom of the table, were edged out by Mayo last time out - losing 1-12 to 1-11 in Omagh - so a win is simply vital this weekend.

In all, Harte has made six changes in personnel. McMahon comes in at full-back, replacing his older brother Joe who is suspended for the straight red card he picked up against Mayo.

Jonathan Curran takes over from Pascal McConnell in goal, with Gormley positioned at centre-back and Sean O'Neill reverting to left corner back.

Aidan Cassidy and Kevin Hughes, who scored three points between them against Mayo, continue their midfield partnership.

In the forwards, Enda McGinley and Eoin McCusker drop to the substitutes bench and Kyle Coney has been rested ahead of the Tyrone Under-21s' clash with Derry next week.

As well as Penrose's return, Owen Mulligan and Raymond Mulgrew are back in the Tyrone attack, fresh from helping Cookstown to All-Ireland IFC glory last month.

Sean Cavanagh (ankle) and Brian Dooher (groin) are still absent from the Tyrone matchday panel, while Stephen O'Neill (elbow) and Philip Jordan (hip) are also currently sidelined.
