Organisers are now trying to work out how Price – who became famous as topless model Jordan – can be squeezed into the show’s finale on Sunday night.

Price, who began riding at the age of seven, dazzled the crowds today when she gave a dressage demonstration wearing a traditional outfit with a touch of sparkle.

The model looked stylish in a black gold-edged jacket and white jodhpurs, topped off with a sparkly black dressage hat.

It was quite different from her KP Equestrian leisure wear range – casual wear in different shades of pink – which is being sold at the show.

She entered the ring at the NEC in Birmingham to the sound of her husband Peter Andre’s biggest hit, 'Mysterious Girl', before she was put through her paces by her trainer, top dressage rider Andrew Gould.

Afterwards she told reporters she had enjoyed her performance and hoped to be allowed back into the ring.

The show’s director, Mark Wein, is now trying to slot her into the finale on Sunday when all the champions parade.

Price branched out from modelling with a reality TV series featuring Andre and their children, Harvey, Junior and Princess Tiaamii.

She has also become a successful children’s author with the series 'Katie Price’s Perfect Ponies' and a new book 'Mermaids & Pirates'.
