Woman’s body found in laneway in Co Tipperary

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was found in Co Tipperary yesterday evening.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was found in Co Tipperary yesterday evening.

The woman, who is believed to have been in her 50s and from the locality, was found dead in a laneway near Ballyporeen just before 5pm.

The remains were left at the scene overnight pending the arrival of the State Pathologist this morning to carry out a preliminary examination.

Gardaí have not yet said if they are treating the death as suspicious.
