Tickets for two major British shows by Oasis were going on sale today as the band return to playing outdoor concerts after a number of low-key dates.
They will play to 80,000 fans with a pair of shows in London’s Finsbury Park on July 5 and 6 as they air material from their as yet untitled fifth studio album.
The gigs will be the band’s first outdoor UK shows for two years. Last year they celebrated their 10th anniversary with intimate performances in smaller venues as a treat to fans.
And last month they played a charity gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall showing their more mature approach. Singer Liam Gallagher even apologised after throwing a plastic bottle into the crowd and the band supped water and coffee during the show.
Support for both shows will be from The Charlatans and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
The band release a new single - their first for nearly two years - on April 15, called The Hindu Times.
