Gardaí investigate IFSC link in Ledden shooting

Officers running the investigation into the death of Stephen Ledden at Oriel Street yesterday are looking into whether the killing could have been in retaliation for the death of Gerard Bath Byrne.

Officers running the investigation into the death of Stephen Ledden at Oriel Street yesterday are looking into whether the killing could have been in retaliation for the death of Gerard Bath Byrne.

Mr Byrne was shot dead in the vicinity of the IFSC two weeks ago.

Gardaí are also understood to be investigating whether or not Mr Ledden was in fact the intended target or was mistakenly shot dead.
