Single student gets nine A1s as Leaving Cert results are due

It is D-Day for almost 58,000 Leaving Cert students.

Results are available from schools this morning or online on examinations.ie from midday.

There has been an increase for the third year running in the numbers failing honours maths - up 1% since last year to 5.2%, but there has been a rise in grades for ordinary level maths.

One student has achieved nine A1s, while eight have got 8 A1s.
