Gardaí in Co Kerry have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a homeless man in Tralee last month.

Gardaí in Co Kerry have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a homeless man in Tralee last month.

The pair, aged 24 and 34, were arrested this morning on suspicion of withholding information about the killing of Eddie Joe Clancy.

The 50-year-old was found seriously injured on a footpath on Bridge St in the early hours of August 15.

He had suffered serious head injuries and died later that day in hospital.

A 24-year-old man was subsequently arrested in connection with the case, but was later released without charge.
