British Army bomb disposal experts in the North have defused a bomb left on the Dublin-Belfast railway line.

The device, packed with 46 pounds of home-made explosives was left on the stretch of line between Lurgan and Lisburn.

The alert began on February 25 after warnings were issued by telephone and at gunpoint to a signal operator in Lurgan.
