ISME: Minimum wage cut 'good for Ireland'

The head of ISME Mark Fielding has said a cut in the minimum wage would be "good for Ireland".

His comments come after the Taoiseach Brian Cowen said any cut "can create jobs for unskilled or semi-skilled people".

It comes as the Live Register figures see a third consecutive fall with 438,800 people now unemployed - down by 4,200 on October.

Mr Fielding said a cut in the minimum wage is "the right move".
