GAA officials have deferred the closing stages of this year's Sigerson Cup competition following objections from Cork IT.

GAA officials have deferred the closing stages of this year's Sigerson Cup competition following objections from Cork IT.

The Leesiders have objected to the eligibility of three players on the Garda Training College team.

That means the semi-final between the two sides will have to be rescheduled along with the final of the tournament, which was due to take place this weekend.

The other semi-final between Dublin IT and Jordanstown will go ahead on Saturday night, which had been the original slot for the final.
