St Patrick's Mental Hospital plans €100m upgrade

More than €100m is to be spent on upgrading facilities and services at St Patrick's Mental Hospital in Dublin.

More than €100m is to be spent on upgrading facilities and services at St Patrick's Mental Hospital in Dublin.

As part of the five-year strategy, the hospital is planning to introduce new treatment programmes and to place an increased emphasis on the de-stigmatisation of mental illness.

Other new initiatives include the provision of child and adolescent services along with a multi-cultural mental illness treatment facility.
