Two killed in Co Kerry road accidents

A man and a woman have died in separate road accidents in the Abbeydorney and Tralee areas of Co Kerry.

A man and a woman have died in separate road accidents in the Abbeydorney and Tralee areas of Co Kerry.

The woman, who was in her 50s, was killed when she was struck by a car at Lisanearla in Abbeydorney at around 9.45pm last night.

The man, who was in his 30s, died after losing control of his motorcycle at Monavalley in Tralee shortly before 5pm.

A pedestrian was also seriously injured in the Tralee accident.

Gardaí are withholding the names of both victims until all next of kin are informed.
