Rescuers find body of hillwalker in Connemara

The body of a hillwalker has been found in Connemara, Co Galway.

The body of a hillwalker has been found in Connemara, Co Galway.

Rescue teams had been searching for the 41-year-old Clare man after he was reported missing while walking on Curcog mountain.

The remains were discovered on a steep embankment in the Maam Valley at lunchtime today by members of the Galway mountain rescue team.
