Craig Charles always plays pranks on his 'Coronation Street' co-star Simon Gregson.
The actor, who plays cheeky cabby Lloyd Mullaney in the ITV soap, is such good friends with his screen pal Gregson, who portrays Steve McDonald, they live down the same street and are constantly making practical jokes on set.
He said: "I have great fun on set with Simon Gregson. He's a good mate, and we do a lot of practical joking on set. We're neighbours as well, so we spend a lot of time at each other's houses."
Charles is also close pals with his former 'Red Dwarf' co-star Chris Barrie and admits he's been lucky with his colleagues over the years.
He explained: "I loved working with Chris Barrie, who played Arnold Rimmer in 'Red Dwarf', as well. I've had some great double acts."
Although Charles has ambitions to work with musician Stevie Wonder, he is also enjoying the big-name stars 'Coronation Street' keep employing.
He explained to Inside Soap magazine: "I'd love to do something with Stevie Wonder. And there are so many brilliant actors I'd like to work with – but the good thing about Corrie is that we have some big names coming in at the moment, so that's great as well."
