Two men are expected to appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court later this afternoon.

One of the men is in his 30’s and one is in his 20s.

They are being charged in connection with an organised raid that seized two firearms, ammunition and a quantity of drugs following a search of a house at Deansrath Avenue, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

The raid was carried out on November 5, at 8.30pm.

During the course of the operation they discovered two firearms believed to be 9mm pistols, two silencers and a quantity of ammunition.

A quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of €6,500 was also recovered.

The pair were arrested at the scene and they are detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Ronanstown and Lucan Garda Stations.
