Samsung has unveiled a range of new products at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in the US.
These include a 63-inch plasma TV, combined VCR and DVD player and a the company's first wireless handheld PC.
Samsung Electronics president Dr Daeje Chin said: "We at Samsung are committed to providing every customer the freedom from limitations of time and space in accessing whatever services they want.
"This is true digital freedom, and it should be available to everyone regardless of age, culture or geography."
His comments came amid speculation that Samsung Electronics will raise its chip prices this month.
The world's largest computer memory chipmaker raised contract chip prices twice in December.
Suppliers' prices to customers are currently some 25% lower than stock market prices.
Samsung Electronics and Hynix, both South Korean companies, now supply a total of over 40% of global chips.
