Sinn Fein conference to outline the future agenda for the party
Sinn Féin is to hold a major conference in Dublin today where the party's priorities for the coming years will be outlined.
Party President Gerry Adams will address the conference which follows intensive consultation within the party since the General Election.
Economic development, community safety and climate change are just some of the issues that will be discussed.
Sinn Féin Chairperson Mary Lou McDonald says the party's priority is to engage with modern Ireland: “The priorities are around economic development, creating jobs, looking after the environment, climate change, dealing with the huge issues of community safety, cross country and also looking at issues life new Irish, new communities, immigration and healthcare. The agenda is broad but is focused on the theme of engaging with modern Ireland.”
