Gardaí in Co. Roscommon are searching for three men following a raid at a post office in Castlrea earlier today.

Gardaí in Co. Roscommon are searching for three men following a raid at a post office in Castlrea earlier today.

The men, who were armed and were wearing balaclavas, entered the Granlahan Post Office, tied up the Post Mistress and locked her in a room.

They made off with a substantial sum of money and an unknown amount of cigarettes in a green Nissan Almera car with a 01 LH registration.

There were no members of the public in the post office at the time, no shots were fired and no one was injured.
