IFI workers unhappy at redundancy deal talks

The Government and ICI have told former IFI workers from Arklow, Cork and Belfast that they cannot give them pension assurances.

620 workers lost their jobs when the company was put into liquidation.

At talks between unions, the Tanaiste, ICI and the liquidator today, the workers were promised more money if a surplus of funds exists following the liquidation.
