Two people have been killed in a road accident in north Co Down.

Two people have been killed in a road accident in north Co Down.

Only one car was involved in the crash, which happened on the Ballysallagh Road in the Clandeboyne area at around 4am today.

As a result the main Belfast to Bangor road remains closed

Meanwhile, three women and a man were injured in a two-car collison on the M2 yesterday evening.

One of the women suffered severe head injuries.
