Jordan are to offer a test drive to Turkish driver Jason Tahincioglu ahead of the inaugural Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul next week.
The Formula Renault British Championship driver will become the first Turk to pilot a Formula One car when he completes some demonstration laps on race day.
It is the second time Jordan have offered such an opportunity to a local driver, having run a demonstration with Hungarian Zsolt Baumgartner at the Hungaroring in 2002.
Tahincioglu said: “To be running in front of my home crowd will be an amazing scenario.
“After all, having a Turkish driver driving a Formula One car on his home track is what the Turkish people and fans dream of seeing.”
