ISEQ inches forward

The ISEQ's onward march slowed somewhat this afternoon managing to inch up just 23.32 points to 8195.82 by close this evening.

The ISEQ's onward march slowed somewhat this afternoon managing to inch up just 23.32 points to 8195.82 by close this evening.

On the financial front the Anglo Irish Bank increased its shares by 1c creeping up to €12.81 while IL&P put this morning's gloomy results behind it to climb by 29c to €19.84.

AIB came to a halt after an encouraging morning to close at €20.92 per share.

Meanwhile Bank of Ireland slipped by 3c to €15.39.

Aer Lingus battles on as a the most recent addition to the ISEQ index leaning on beginners luck in its continued growth reaching €2.46.

Meanwhile ISEQ veteran Ryanair failed to set an example as it dropped 6c this afternoon following a promising start to the day. The budget flights group closed the day at €8.28.
