Dungannon lock Paddy Johns has insisted his side is ready for the biggest day in the club's history.
The Ulster club will face Cork Constitution in the final of the AIB League at
Lansdowne Road on Saturday, after defeating Galwegians in last weekend's semi-final at Crowley Park.
Johns says: "This is a massive day for the club. Everyone is proud and we are going down to enjoy the day and do our best."
After winning two of their opening six matches, Dungannon were destined to be heading towards a relegation battle, but nine wins in the final 10 games have propelled Willie Anderson's side towards the top of the table.
Dungannon are the form team of the moment, winning their last seven matches.
Johns continues: "There are a number of factors that have seen Dungannon through to the final.
"There is a good spirit at the club and, while there have been a few injuries during the season, we have a good squad of 26 or 28 players, so we have good strength."
Dungannon have the edge over Saturday's opponents, having defeated Cork Con in March but, according to Johns, that will make little difference on Saturday.
He said: "It happened so long ago that it surely won't make much of a
difference."
Johns, capped 59 times by Ireland, insists that despite what happens on Saturday he will be proud of what himself and his team-mates have accomplished.
"I'll personally be proud of the team, regardless of what happens on Saturday.
"Two weeks ago, we were third in the league, but now we've got a chance to go on top. Cork Con have been on top all season and there's only one way they can go," he said.
