The Government is being warned about the dangers of diluting its commitment to integration in education.
The Immigrant Council of Ireland is addressing Irish and European experts on integration in schools at a seminar in UCD today.
The founder of the ICI, Sr Stanislaus Kennedy, says the Government must resist further cuts to funding for integration if it is serious about preventing mistakes made by other countries.
She is also warning that cutbacks will have a lasting effect on the children of migrants in terms of educational achievement.
