Children's outpatient centre to be built in Tallaght

Dublin is to get a new children's outpatient centre.

Dublin is to get a new children's outpatient centre.

The purpose-built Ambulatory Care Centre will be located in Tallaght.

Minister for Health Mary Harney says it will facilitate outpatient services, including day surgery.

Ear operations, removal of tonsils, treatment of fractures and some cardiovascular procedures will be carried out there also.

It should be able to cater for up to 48,000 urgent care attendances a year.
