Robert McCutcheon of the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin has been elected as the first official chairman of the Irish Agresso User Group (IAUG).
Delegates representing more than 6,000 users at the inaugural IAUG Annual Conference in Portlaoise elected Mr McCutcheon to the position.
McCutcheon is a systems accountant at the hospital and was project manager responsible for the implementation of the Agresso system in 2001, the first deployment of the software in the healthcare sector in Ireland.
The conference marked the culmination of a period of rapid growth for the Agresso Business World suite since its introduction to the Irish market in 1998 by Mentec International.
The Dun Laoghaire-based company is the exclusive distributor and professional services consulting organisation for the Financial and Business Management solution in Ireland.
Over the past five years Mentec has successfully delivered the system into Central and Local Government, Healthcare and Higher Education sectors, as well as numerous commercial and semi-state service organisations.
