Relatives of the victims of the 1981 Stardust disaster say they are hopeful the Government will approve a new inquiry into the matter.
Forty-eight people died when a huge fire engulfed the Stardust nightclub in the Artane area of Dublin on St Valentine's night 25 years ago.
A tribunal later blamed arson for the blaze, exonerating the owners of any legal responsibility, despite widespread evidence of poor safety standards.
Families of the victims, however, say they have "substantial" evidence that proves the fire was not started deliberately by somebody setting fire to seats at the nightclub.
They are due to meet the Taoiseach and the Minister for Justice today to discuss the situation and say they are hopeful that a new inquiry will be established.
