World renowned Spanish tenor Placido Domingo and a host of international music stars are appearing at a glittering black-tie charity event tonight.
The Royal Hope Charity Gala in aid of children with leukaemia in countries devastated by war is being staged at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The evening will see musical collaborations, dance performances and poetry reading from celebrities.
Also appearing on the night will be Sarah Brightman, Italian singer Zucchero, Spanish dance star Joaquin Cortes and pop artists Melanie Blatt and Lisa Scott Lee.
International singers also appearing will be Lebanese female vocalist Nawal Al-Zoghby, Sertab Erener from Turkey who won this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Portuguese singer Mafalda Arnauth, Iranian Sussan Deyhim and Bollywood heart throb Abhijit.
The event is in aid of the Hope Foundation a not-for-profit organisation that helps victims of leukaemia in war-ravaged countries.
All profits raised will be used to purchase medicine and medical equipment for children suffering from the disease in Iraq.
