ISEQ slips in morning trading

The ISEQ index of Irish shares has had a slight fall in dropping 5.05 points by 11am this morning.

The financial heavyweights are having a generally good day with Irish Life and Permanent leading the way up 18c to €2.36, while AIB followed suit up 8c to €2.10 and Bank of Ireland followed the trend with a 4c rise to 90c. Anglo Irish Bank was down by 3c to 20c.

It's been a mixed day for the food sector so far, with Kerry Group slumping 25c to €14.00. Fyffes remained unchanged at 27c and Glanbia saw a slight rise of 2c to $2.49.

The construction sector enjoyed a steady morning with CRH up 25c to €17.56 followed by Grafton gaining a 5c rise to €2.08. McInerney remained unchanged at 16c per share while Kingspan slipped 5c to €2.08.

Elsewhere Paddy Power was down 36c to €11.19.
