Kevin James has signed up to star in 'Here Comes the Boom'.
The 45-year-old actor will play the lead role in the action comedy movie, with Salma Hayek in negotiations to star as the leading lady.
Kevin will also produce the film alongside Adam Sandler and Todd Garner.
Little is known about the storyline of the film, which was penned by Kevin and Rock Reuben and signed up by Columbia Pictures, Variety reports.
Kevin has a number of projects coming up, following on from his surprise success 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop' worldwide in 2009.
His next film is 'Grown Ups' with Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider, before a turn in 'The Zookeeper' alongside Sylvester Stallone and Jon Favreau.
Salma's career has been relatively quiet in recent years, starring in TV shows 'Ugly Betty' and '30 Rock'.
Shooting on 'Here Comes the Boom' could start as early as January 2011, once all the stars are confirmed.
