A study at Limerick Regional Hospital has reportedly uncovered high levels of bullying directed at junior doctors.
Reports this morning said 30% of the almost 500 junior doctors who responded to a questionnaire had said they were being bullied.
Most identified senior doctors and nurses as the main culprits, while non-EU doctors reported a higher level of bullying than their Irish and EU counterparts.
The types of bullying being reported include unjustified criticism, inappropriate jokes, demoralisation and discrimination.
