Reilly announces €3m in funds for autistic children

Up to €3m in additional funding is being allocated to children with autism over the next three years.

Up to €3m in additional funding is being allocated to children with autism over the next three years.

The Minister for Health James Reilly announced the funding, the first million of which is coming on stream this year, at an autism conference taking place in Galway.

The funding will be focussed on addressing waiting times for specialist therapy services for children who have been diagnosed with autism and on developing Early Intervention Teams.
