Longford Town 2 Kilkenny City 1 (full-time)

Stephen Kelly kept Longford's quest for Europe going on two fronts with a winner at Flancare.

The midfielder dived low to head home an Alan Murphy cross on 69 mins to complete Town's comeback.

Relegation doomed Cats hit the net on 40 minutes through Derek McGrath, son of Joe who resigned as manager on Monday night.

But Town equalised inside two minutes when Murphy availed of a slip by Cats keeper Matt Nelson to score with a clever lob.

McGrath was then sent-off on 78 mintues after getting two yellow cards inside a minute.
