A fifty-year-old man has died in a single vehicle accident in Co Offaly.

A fifty-year-old man has died in a single vehicle accident in Co Offaly.

The man was travelling from Daingean to Ballycommon when his vehicle left the road and entered the Grand Canal in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí at Tullamore are investigating.
