Timmy Murphy will be reunited with Cenkos as he bids for back-to-back victories in the William Hill Tingle Creek Trophy Chase at Sandown on Saturday.
The jockey has not ridden the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding since the pair finished fifth in the Nakayama Grand Jump in Japan two years ago.
Murphy later appeared in court on charges relating to a drunken incident on the flight home, and was jailed for six months.
But the stylish rider has won praise for the way he has pieced his career back together and he is once again a man in demand for the top races.
He has ridden several winners for Nicholls since, though Cenkos was partnered by Ruby Walsh when he won last season’s Tingle Creek Trophy.
Walsh rides the stable’s Azertyuiop in Saturday’s renewal, with Mick Fitzgerald on the other Nicholls runner, Le Roi Miguel.
“Timmy rides Cenkos on Saturday. We’re delighted,” confirmed the jockey’s agent Chris Broad.
