Jamie Carragher had great fun trolling Gary Neville last night

Jamie Carragher was in top form on Twitter last night.

The Liverpool legend watched his former club romp to victory in the Capital One Cup and also took the opportunity to have a cheeky pop at Gary Neville.

His Sky Sports colleague surprised the football world yesterday when he announced he was taking over the manager role at Valencia.

It means the end of the pair’s Monday Night Football bromance, but Carra suggested the Neville news and the match combined to give him a perfect day.

His tweet followed an earlier one, also taking the p**s out of Neville.

You’re fooling no one Jamie, we all know you’re secretly gutted.
