Mel B is planning to sell her £3.5m mansion because she's so strapped for cash.

The Sun says the Spice Girl is 'gutted' at having to put the house on the market.

Mel, who was once said to be worth around £20m, has seen her income plummet. Her solo career has still to take off and and the Spice Girls' last album flopped.

She spent vast amounts of money on a massive country home, expensive holidays and gifts for her family and friends.

Mel also had to pay her ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar £620,000 following their bitter divorce.

Now she is reported to be becoming concerned about the future and, according to friends, wants to make sure she has enough money to last the rest of her life.
