Kilkenny's semi-final hero Jimmy Coogan has been rewarded with a starting place in the All-Ireland final against Clare on Sunday.
Coogan, who shot 1-1 in just 15 minutes against Tipperary last time out at Croke Park, comes in for Brian McEvoy in the only change to Brian Cody's side.
Of some note, however, is the continued omission from the starting lineup of Charlie Carter.
The Young Ireland's club-man has two All-Ireland medals under his belt but will be used as an impact sub yet again.
Club colleague DJ Carey makes his second start of the year at left corner-forward as expected.
Kilkenny (SHC v Clare): J McGarry; M Kavanagh, N Hickey, P Larkin; R Mullally, P Barry, JJ Delaney; A Comerford, D Lyng; J Hoyne, H Shefflin, J Coogan; E Brennan, M Comerford, DJ Carey.
