ISEQ up in morning trading

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was up 28 points this morning to 2,415.81 by 11am.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was up 28 points this morning to 2,415.81 by 11am.

There was little movement within the financial sector; AIB dropped 2c off its share price to €1.07, Bank of Ireland however gained a modest 1c to 63c with Irish Life and Permanent up 11c to €1.83.

Kerry Group was the highest riser within the food sector soaring 25c to €14.50, Glanbia however, fell 9c to €2.55.

Elsewhere Paddy Power bookmakers jumped an impressive 28c to €10.80.
