Roscommon man Gerry Fahey has been entrusted with the job of leading Offaly football out of its dark spell and into the light after being appointed as the county's new senior manager.
The NUIG Sigerson Cup winning boss was appointed as Paul O'Kelly's successor at a county board meeting on Thursday night and is looking forward to the job despite O'Kelly's controversial sacking.
Fahey said: "What has gone before here is nothing to do with me. I have no agenda and the slate is clean. I want to meet the Chairman of the all the clubs and I intend doing so over the next week."
