Gardaí continue to question man in connection with Athy shooting
Gardaí are continuing to question a man in connection with a fatal shooting in Athy.
A 22-year-old man was gunned down in the Greenhills area of the town last night.
He has been named locally as Jason Doogue.
The man arrested in connection with the incident is being held under section 50 of the criminal justice act, and can be held for up to seven days.
Anyone with information has been asked to contact Gardaí.
