Survey confirms house price reductions

House prices here have fallen by almost 10% in the last year, according to a new survey.

House prices here have fallen by almost 10% in the last year, according to a new survey.

The permanent tsb/ESRI index shows that the average price of a house nationwide is €270,493, a reduction of €30,000 in the last 12 months.

House prices in Dublin, fell by 8.8%, while prices in Louth, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow were down by 9%

Prices for new houses dropped by just over 8% nationally, while second hand houses saw their prices fall by over 10%.
